A great school is far more than its classrooms. It is a community of families, teachers, and children who grow together over the years, and that sense of belonging is one of the quiet reasons Montessori families tend to stay for the long haul. This section is where we share our story, celebrate what is happening at the school, and highlight the everyday moments that make Little Scholars feel like a second home.

Why community matters in the early years

Young children thrive on stability and relationship. When the same familiar faces greet them each morning, when teachers truly know each child and family, and when parents recognize one another at pickup, children feel secure, and secure children are free to explore and learn. A small, connected school community is not a luxury on top of good education; it is part of what makes the education work. The trust built between home and school means everyone is rowing in the same direction, and children feel that consistency deeply.

A partnership between home and school

Montessori works best when home and school share a common language and rhythm. That is why communication matters so much: regular updates about your child's day and development, conversations about how to extend school habits at home, and open doors when questions come up. Families are partners, not spectators, and the strongest outcomes for children come from that partnership rather than from either side working alone.

Our story

Little Scholars Academy of California was founded in 2016 and has grown into a close, caring community serving children from infant care through Kindergarten in Orange. Over the years we have watched children arrive as babies and leave after Kindergarten confident, capable, and ready for whatever comes next, and we have watched families become friends. Whether you are a current family or just getting to know us, the articles here offer a window into who we are and what we value.

The best way to feel the community for yourself is to visit. We would love to show you around, introduce you to our teachers, and help you picture your child growing up here; call 714-634-8118 or request a tour through the site.
